Fred Keeler

Fred Keeler's voice is a strong, professional baritone, originally trained for theatre and later modified for radio and television. He has the timing and credibility for commercials, the clarity and articulation for corporate and educational programs, and the warmth and modulation for documentaries. As an actor, Fred has the vocal versatility necessary for recorded books, trailers and a wide variety of dramatic applications.

Fred Keeler graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and started to make the rounds of casting offices in New York City. He acted in a number of Off-Broadway plays, did a lot of films and TV...mostly supporting roles but he kept working. Having a good voice, and needing steady employment, Fred headed for radio, where he worked in news, hosted a morning show, recorded commercials. Most importantly, he started to learn to use that voice in front of a microphone.

Casting directors saw Fred Keeler as a corporate type, for industrial videos, and he worked, on camera, in training programs, company image pieces, etc. Pharmaceutical reps got to know him from hours of training tapes. Producers started to give Fred a chance in the voice-over booth. He did well, and voice-overs eventually became a full time business.
